Bio Helen has a degree in Early Childhood Education and an MA is School Counseling. She is also a licensed massage therapist.

Helen was a co-founding member of the International Association of Infant Massage Instructors with Vimala, Audrey Downes, DeAnna Elliott and Jody Wright. She sponsored founder Vimala McClure's instructor trainings in Tampa, Florida in 1983 and 1984. She became a CEIM in 1985 and an international trainer in 1987.

She served, as the first secretary of the board for 3 years. Helen conducted the UK's first instructor training in Edinburough in 1993 and was the neonatal positive touch research assistant at University Medical Center (now Shands in Jacksonville, Florida) in 1995.

In her community, she has conducted programs for teen parent, hospital education centers as well as volunteered as baby cuddler in 3 neonatal units. She currently conducts trainings throughout Florida and Tennessee.

Helen collaborated with Vimala and the circle of trainers in refining the stroke sequence for Resting Hands for the special benefit for premature and sensitive infants prior to full massage interaction. She is presently collaborating with the regional baby hospital staff on their goals to support families connecting with their hospitalized infants through gentle, nurturing touch. She resides in Orlando, Florida.
